We are trying to do our little bit to help the planet!
We are a plastic bag free market so it is a good idea to bring your own carry bags.
Most of our stalls do have paper carry bags available for you.
We ask whether you are a local or visitor you treat our farmers, producers and each other with the greatest respect at all times.
Many of our stall holders are up at 3am getting ready for our market and are on site by 6am preparing their stall for when you arrive.
We like our vibe as it is relaxed and chilled and we like to keep it that way.
Stay and relax with us for a while and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
If you have a complaint please contact the market co-ordinator Debrah Novak M: 0402 404 606 or look for her on site at every market wearing the yellow flouro vest.
I know it’s hard to believe but we don’t have an ATM machine at the market so you have to be organised with your money.
Some of our stall holders use a Square Reader but most don’t.
Making up for that little inconvenience are those sweeping sensational views of the Clarence River and Whiting Beach while you do your outdoor shopping.
We are a very family friendly market with a great range of intergenerational shoppers.
Our market is a great, safe place for mums with young kids to come and sit and relax on our yarning circle mats while the kids play close by and climb trees.
Our market venue is cocooned between a headland, the outgoing Clarence River and the ocean.
Weather conditions can change quickly.
Towards the end of the market it can get hot so be prepared for these conditions.
We have a WET WEATHER venue for our market at the Yamba Sports Complex on Angourie Road.
We will only move to our wet weather venue if it is consistent heavy rainfall and not just showers.
Signage will alert you to any changes on the day.
Yes I know I am cuter than cute but you must be on a leash.
We are a very dog friendly market.
All dogs, cats and alpaccas, actually anything on four legs must be on a leash.
We have lots of little kids running around the market and we would rather be safe than sorry.
Please make sure you clean up after them to.
Our farmers and producers sell produce that is grown in its season.
Our produce is either hand raised, pastured, ethical, sustainable, hand harvested, lovingly grown and or baked fresh.
Our role as a food market is to remind our consumers food has its seasons.
There are three car parks which cocoon the market venue.
The southern carpark (next to Calypso Holiday Park) has six disabled parks.
The Turners Beach carpark has four disabled parks and the truck pad has four disabled parking spots.
The car park which the market occupies is fully closed to all traffic (except for stallholders) during market operation hours between 5am - 1pm.
If you are tempted to park illegally PLEASE NOTE the ‘No Parking’ is a $114 fine while the ‘No Stopping’ sign is a $263 fine.
The local ranger and police visit our market on a regular basis.
Our seaside market has a locavore footprint of 150 klm radius.
We are allowed to draw stallholders from as far north as Burleigh Heads, as far west as Tenterfield and as far south as Scotts Head.
This is a Clarence Valley Council policy.
However the majority of our stall holders do come from within the Clarence Valley.
